Our setting uses a key person approach. This means that each member of staff has a group of children for whom he/she is particularly responsible for. Your child’s key person will be the person who works with you to make sure that the childcare that we provide is right for your child’s particular needs and interests. When your child first starts at the setting, she will help your child to settle and throughout your child’s time at the setting she will help your child to benefit from our activities.
Seedlings
Seedlings is our next age group within Parkside. This group is for children aged 2 till the year before they venture to school. This is our largest age group and is an extremely significant developmental stage in a child’s life, which impacts greatly on their future attitude towards learning.
Oaks
Oak class is for our pre-school aged children. They move up to Oak class in their year before they go to school.
Rhiannon leads this class and ensures the children are prepared for their transition to school. Rhiannon plans school readiness activities and liaises with the schools to plan visits to make the transition as easy as possible.
